Change Or Replace Your Ballot Online

To Change Or Replace Your Ballot Online Until November 3rd:

If you have changed your mind on your vote and have already mailed your ballot, did you know that you can still change it until November 3rd?

Yes you can. If you log in to the Secretary of State website linked below and follow these simple steps:  https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/myvote/

1: Complete the simple form and click continue. You will next see a page with your voter registration information.

2: Look for the MyBallot button along the left side of the page and click it. This will take you to your MyBallot page.

3: Click the link under the 2015 General Election heading  (http://whatcomcounty.everyonecounts.com) and you will be taken to the Whatcom everyonecounts website.

4: Below the heading “Welcome to the Whatcom County November 3, 2015 General Election,” read the military or overseas voter question and click the yes or no button. You will then be taken to the ‘Address Verification’ page if you answered no. (I don’t know where it goes if you answer ‘yes.’)

5: Scroll through your ballot to either re-vote the entire ballot or to change items you’ve already submitted by mail. (This is where you would find the county sheriff vote to change it.)

6: When you’ve finished your ballot, click continue at the bottom and there you go, you just changed your ballot.

I would be honored to receive your write in vote for County Sheriff.

Best regards,

A Very Well Researched And Thoughtful Endorsement!

Now I also KNOW I’m on the right track in showing what real conservatism is.  🙂

Thank you Ryan!

“Vote for Paul Murphy (Write-In) for Sheriff”

“Paul Murphy
I don’t know Paul Murphy personally. I am voting for him (Write-IN for Sheriff) because I think he is a man of integrity who has a plan to create a compact, efficient, appropriate law and justice infrastructure in Whatcom County. I am aware of fact that Marxists like myself don’t generally vote for conservatives. But this is still a small county. I’m voting for the man and his vision anyway.

After reading more about Paul Murphy, I realized who he is and who he was forced to become and why he is running for Sheriff. First, read his blog and this slideshare (very important!) to understand why he is running for office and who is he is as a man. Unfortunately, I know too much about the existential dilemmas Detective Murphy experienced. I’m going to summarize them for you and expand of the struggle of whistleblowers on an abstract level in blue below. But you make sure to read his slideshare to know his full story and details.

In all aspects of modern society, especially but not exclusively energy production, mining and resource extraction, technology control, *investment banking*, propaganda and knowledge dissemination, nation state relations, state based security services, local and regional economies, money supply, narcotics trafficking, failed state economies, law and justice, government budgeting and processes, regulatory agencies, all diplomatic corps, international aid agencies (in short) in all *loci of power across the globe*, the systems of control and power that we live in are supported, organized and beholden to cesspools of corruption and abuse of power. This is how the world works now. All over.

Most of the time, this is hidden from all us for some very good reasons. If normal people knew how absolutely corrupt and fraudulent the world of power really was, they might do something about it. But most of us are just too careless, scared or clueless to go that route. We all know what happens if we confront power! And none of it is good. If we do discover something truly disconcerting, most of behave just like good Germans during WWII: we bury our heads (deep) in the sand and simply move on. So we can keep our jobs. So we don’t cause any trouble. So we can be ‘bright, shiny, happy people making friends’.

But every now and then, someone who does his job well, someone with integrity stares right down into the abyss of that cesspool and corruption and decides they need to do something about it. This is what Paul Murphy did. He didn’t start out as some crusader. He just looked and saw something he couldn’t believe. In some miracle of chutzpah, the kind that restores our faith in the heroes of this world, Paul couldn’t let it go. So he stared into the abyss and abyss behaved as predicted: it reached up, grabbed him by the throat and tried to drag him down. Paul wouldn’t let it. In the end, he came out better than many other whistle blowers fare. His concerns about the lapses in EHM (“electronic home monitoring”) uncovered what is probably a nationwide scandal that’s not being investigated. After he was essentially fired for his efforts, he received a settlement and WA actually enacted legislation tightening up EHM loopholes (1,2) . I personally know others who have fared much worse than this for similar efforts.

Think about for a moment what it means to have private EHM throughout all the counties in this country that don’t necessarily report EHM alarms to their respective governmental jurisdictions! Imagine a “pool of assets” with criminal backgrounds on EHM whose location can be manipulated to make it appear they are still at home when in fact they are not! Can you think of select ’employers’ who could use such a crowd of ghosts? I sure can. Paul Murphy is a national hero living right here in Whatcom County. He is not going to get any awards for being such. I suggest you give him your Write-IN vote for Sheriff instead.”

Write In Candidate For Sheriff: Paul Murphy

Greetings To All,

Time is short. Too short to address every single post or video being made appealing for a big and expensive jail complex, but I’ll summarize it this way for now:

Of course we want the jail staff and inmates alike to work and be housed in a fully functional, secure, safe and humane environment. That’s a given and I’m hearing no voices in opposition to that, contrary to what is being implied by proponents.

But that does not equate to buying into the hype and the various screeds demanding a $245 million dollar construction ($100 million construction + $145 million loan interest) on Labounty Rd., outside the city limits of Bellingham.

That outrageous number doesn’t even account for the estimated $600 million to $1.1 BILLION dollar (Yes, you read that right) long term operating costs.

We’re looking at a minimum, based on accepted estimates, of $845 MILLION dollars to $1.345 BILLION dollars in initial construction and operating costs over the long term. A county of this relatively small size cannot afford such a lavish expenditure and it’s simply irresponsible to do it.

If elected, my plan will be to build a safe, modern, maximum security facility, within the city limits of Bellingham, adjacent to the courthouse, without raising taxes and on existing funds, to be completed and operational within 4 years.

It CAN be done and it needs to be done.

If you agree, please write in Paul Murphy for sheriff of Whatcom County by November 3rd so we can get the jail project and WCSO expenditures back on an accountable and fiscally responsible path.

Also, I do have written confirmation of the lawful ability for a person to mount a write in campaign.  You’ll find the county auditor email linked on the facebook page below.

Thank you for your support,

I’ll update this website further as I have time, but also check the facebook page ‘Murphy For Sheriff’ for a biographical about me, my platform statement and other comments, relating to what you can expect to see if I’m elected sheriff of Whatcom County.

Joy Gilfilen For County Executive

Joy Gilfilen has thrown her hat in the ring for the position of Whatcom County Executive.

Updates can be found on her facebook page: Joy Gilfilen For Whatcom County Executive.

Joy has some good ideas on how to reduce local incarceration and how to get the local criminal justice apparatus to work in a more efficient manner for all concerned.

She’s also against the big county jail project.

Some would no doubt ask me why I would choose to support a candidate with so many different views than I have as a conservative.

In response, I’d tell them that #1: I know what real conservatism is and I also know what it is not. I’m not a ‘republican,’ I’m a conservative. They are not the same things. They once were, but they aren’t today.

Too many people have confused playing sides, as in the other half of the local (D) vs (R) Hegelian dialectic, as ‘conservatism.’ It’s not. True conservatism is actually very close to classical liberalism, sharing many aspects. Libertarianism and classical liberalism are very close cousins, both of which overlap significantly with real conservatism (Note *)

#2: I’ll support anyone that is upfront and honest about what they believe, even if I disagree personally, providing they are willing to let the people’s voices be heard and will allow that to override their own preferences when that’s been made clear in a true democratic fashion.

Joy meets both of my criteria and as such has my support.

Currently, there are officials trying to hoodwink citizens of this county in order to further expand government and further tax already overly tax burdened citizens.

As a real conservative, those are two things I cannot abide.

* : This writer does not condone or accept the classical European and neo-European views of the various political ideologies or the political spectrum. I prefer the Americanism views, which incorporated the best of the best of the world, created a Representative Constitutional Republic form of government of We The People and in doing so changed the world for the better.
